About Your Runner Dad
I started Your Runner Dad because I loved running and had plenty to say about it. Then fatherhood gave me even more material, along with a whole new audience for advice nobody necessarily asked for.
For years, running was a big part of my life. Training, racing, learning what worked and what definitely didn’t, and connecting with people who understood why anyone would willingly get up early to run for miles. Over time, my relationship with running changed. Health challenges have limited what I can do physically, but they haven’t taken away my love for the sport or the community around it.
This is still a place for runners. Whether you’re working toward your first 5K, figuring out your next marathon, getting back into it after a setback, or just enjoy a good running story, you’ll find practical ideas, firsthand lessons, and perspective here. You’ll also find posts about parenting, family, motivation, and the things life teaches us when the plan goes sideways.
I won’t pretend to have all the answers. But after years of running, raising a family, and writing through a few unexpected turns, I’ve collected plenty of stories and opinions worth sharing.
Welcome to Your Runner Dad. The running, the parenting, and the unwanted advice are all still here.
